If there’s one thing better than owning and maintaining your own blog, it’s knowing all the right blogs to go to when you want to keep your WordPress up to date, in with the times and user friendly.

If you’re a web developer or an agency that tends to WP’s of various brands, you’re definitely on the lookout for new features, upgradations and interactive tools to stand out from the crowd.

What started off in 2008 as a blog featuring updates about new Elegant Themes designs and plugins, further went on to feature tips, tutorials, and suggestions of great plugins for WordPress blogs. With very practical advice and trusted recommendations, it easily found a way into our list of blogs to check out.

As the name suggests, WP beginner is your go-to blog if you’re a fresher on WordPress. With an array of tutorials, news, events, guides, editorials and much more, you can learn new ways to make the most out of your blog.

Lady WordPress

Lady WordPress is owned by a work-at-home mom who left her job in 2008 and never looked back. A mother of two, who put her job aside to make time for her family, is one of our favourite bloggers. With content ranging from basic advice on using WordPress to plug in reviews and blogging tips, you do not wanna skip this one.

Another blog that has made it into our list of recommendations is Yoast. A popular name in the network, and a WordPress plugin builder itself, yoast writes about plugins, SEO-ing and other compelling topics for both bloggers and webmasters.

Smashing Magazine

While Smashing Magazine is not a dedicated WordPress blog, it features posts on WordPress, once or twice a month and posts on web development, design, coding, graphics, UX design and mobile too.
